Pre-paid Electric card system
This is the fairest way of charging for electricity use. By law, caravan parks are prohibited from profiting from the resale of electricity. We can only charge guests at the rates supplied to us. The price per unit will be stated in your welcome pack; currently, it is £0.30per kWh. Including 5% VAT and the daily standing charges.
On arrival.
You will receive a pre-paid electric card in your welcome pack. We would have pre-loaded it with credit at £2pn.
Therefore if you are staying for 5 nights you will have £10 credit, if you stay for 14 nights £28 etc
- When you get to your pitch, plug in your cable to your caravan / motor home, and then into the pillar.
- Push the black/blue switch up.
- Place the card against the bollard display, it will give a confirmation “Beep” the display will show you your credit.
- You can now use the electricity.
Topping Up Your Credit
If you require additional electricity, there are two ways to top up:
• Option A (Reception): Visit us between 9:30am and 6:00pm. Credit can be bought in £5 increments.
NEW FOR 2026 • Option B (24/7 Self-Service): Use the terminal located in the Information Point at any time. Simply follow the on-screen instructions.
*Tip* if you don’t want to check your bollard every day, put enough credit on to last your stay.
When you leave
- Place the card against the screen on the bollard. It will give a confirmation “Beep” This will transfer the remaining credit £ back to the card, and turn the electricity off.
- Bring this card (and your barrier key fob) back down to us in reception before you leave, and we will refund you any credit left on the card, to the nearest pound. REMEMBER TO BRING THE CARD TO RECEPTION FOR A REFUND!
- The pence will be donated to the Wales Air Ambulance. During 2025 we donated £1000 to the charity. The unused pounds £ will be refunded to you. Thank you for all your donations.
