Coronavirus

Updated 25th March

Our small reception and campsite is now closed in line with government guidelines. All affected holidays, and all monies paid are safe and there is NO NEED TO TAKE ANY FURTHER ACTION AT THIS POINT.

It is with incredibly heavy hearts Hywel  and Cathrin took the difficult decision to temporarily close South Wales touring park from Monday 21st of Mach.

We have had to make decisions and take actions which were unimaginable a few weeks ago.

Although we were not ordered to close the park, before the Prime Minister’s statement on the evening of 23rd March, we were listening to our hearts.  We knew we must play our part in trying to reduce non-essential travel to Carmarthenshire, and reduce the enormous pressure on our valuable local emergency and other essential services.  It was, morally the right thing to do.  We must also protect you, our valued customers and of course, our own family.

We are offering to defer all of your affected holidays and any money paid (including deposits), to another date in 2020 or 2021 year.  Our 2021 booking diary is now open.

You will not lose your deposits or other money paid. All bookings will be deferred.

There is no need for you to take any action at this point.  We cannot say at this time when this crisis will be over and so cannot offer any idea on when the park will reopen.  Your booking is safe and when the time comes, you will be able to choose alternative dates, either in 2020 or 2021.

The financial burden will be hard, but this is absolutely the right decision, and we WILL get through this.  We won’t let this thing beat us and we won’t let you down. Thank goodness for the announcements of support which have come from Government, the Welsh Assembly and local authority, which should help us to be ready to resume business just as soon as the crisis passes.

Our parents started the park in 1985 and  Quite simply, this has been one of the darkest times in our 35 years of trading.

In the past month we have had a large number of cancellations, because many our customers are within the high risk groups. We know we’re going to be facing a struggle, please be assured that we will all still be here and working towards re-opening the park when we get to the other side.

We would like to thank you for your co-operation and patience at this uncertain time. Having seen the utter devastation this disease has caused in other countries it is time for us all to stand together, and when it is over, try to get back to normality as soon as possible.

Everyone’s ability to come through this, won’t just be down to what government or business can do, but by the individual acts of kindness we show one another.

We want to look back on this time and remember how, in the face of a generation-defining moment, we undertook a collective national effort – and we stood together.  It’s on all of us, and we really appreciate your support.

Cathrin and Hywel will  will be calling all bookings for April up as soon as possible please bare with us.  We will then take advice mid April regarding the May bookings, and act accordingly. You are all very valued and important to us.

We are asking that you don’t contact us at all at this time. Your booking and deposits paid are safe, we will get in touch with you one by one.

Very best wishes. Stay safe. Look after each other.

Cathrin and Hywel.
